Emergency Japan


Sendai, Japan. The Japan Emergency Team announced the arrival of a response team to the Sendai and Kessenuma area the day after the 9.1 Magnitude Earthquake and resulting Tsunami struck.
Working in Disaster areas and in Evacuation Centres the Team is bringing in and distributing emergency supplies, assisting on site with direct disaster assistance and also assisting survivors.

Volunteers able to reach the area are much needed.

Emergency Operation Yushu


The Japan Emergency Team announces commencement of Operation Yushu to assist with the 7.1 Magnitute Earthquake that struck Yushu, Qinghai Province China. In its 84th Disaster Relief since 1989 the Japan Emergency Team is in need of bottled water, canned and instant food, tents, sleeping bags, rice, used laptop computers and gsm cellphones and unused Airline Mileage for team members. The team is working with local partners to provide on site assistance and is need of supplies.

Emergency Operation Chile


The World Helpline team announces the launch of “Operation Chile” to provide disaster assistance at the 8.8 earthquake to hit the Concepcion area of Chile in its 84th disaster operation since 1989.

Working through local partners on the ground The World Helpline is in urgent need of water, canned and instant food, powdered milk, gsm cellphones, laptop computers, tents, sleeping bags and small medical kits.

Emergency Operation Haiti


The World Helpline Team announces commencement of emergency assistance in connection with the 7.2 magnitude in Haiti that has left up to 3 million people affected.

Having worked in Haiti since 1992, The World Helpline Team is appealing for disaster supplies it its 84th disaster response since 1975.

The team has been to nearly every disaster and is currently operating in Iraq as well. Most recently teams to Taiwan to assist with the terrible typhoon and Indonesia to the recent earthquake.

Supplies needed include:
